I am now taking off for my first visit to German soil as President of the State of Israel, at the invitation of the President of Germany, Frank Walter-Steinmeier. I carry with me the memory of the tragic and painful past of the Jewish people in Germany; And together with him I carry hope and faith in the strong alliance that has been formed between our countries over the years. 🇮🇱🇩🇪
